* Trammell made it to the "Natural State." What does that mean?
Where did all the states get their nicknames?
Anyway, he made it to Arkansas where he will be working this summer.
He got there just in time for the tornadoes! Yippee!
He said he had just left a house when he received a text from his boss saying, "Everyone get in their cars. There's a tornado." It was followed by a second text: "Never mind the car. Get inside a house!"
Trammell went back to the house he had been in and asked the lady if he could wait out the storm there.
He played Angry Birds with her four year old until the storm passed.
* Parker has a job interview for his dream job this morning.
His fantasy is to work at a golf course - so he 1) can get paid and 2) can golf for free.
I would like him to have that job too!
The job comes with 2 free rounds of golf a week.
That would mean,
Wow! What a deal!
Can you believe how lucky I am?
* We are counting down.
Well, some of us our.
Garrett has a countdown going on the computer.
He leaves for his mission to Romania in 22 days 4 hours 18 minutes and 29 seconds.....28....27.....whatever.
He's just a little bit excited!
* I'm off to the hospital to hold a little 2 month old who has meningitis for a couple of hours so that her parents can get some things done. You should be jealous!!!
* Are you staying up all night or getting up to watch the royal wedding?
I'm not.
I must be getting old.
I can't think of ANYTHING that I would stay up all night for.
* My mom started her second round of chemo yesterday.
I can't believe how fast the time is going.......at least for me.
She is doing well though.
Her blood counts look good and she's tolerating the treatment relatively well.
Hooray for her!

Just wow...you (and by that I mean the collective "you" have a lot going on!
I was away at summer camp for Di & chuck's wedding, so I think my sleep might be more valuable as I don't have any sense of what I'll be missing for Will & Kate.
Love that you are finding some moments of true peace in holing that sweet baby...happy thoughts.
Hooray for your mom...and you!
Oh my gosh. I would have been flipping out with a tornado. But then again, it is an extended amount of time with nothing to do but play angry birds. Tempting.
I am jealous about holding the baby. I miss it. Not enough to do something about it, but your situation sounds great! Kiss that baby for me. (That is what Hubs says caused him to go Deaf. Spinal Meningitis...)
I'm so glad the guys were all ok and secretly happy I'm not there yet! Angry birds is a great way to pass the time!
Glad your mom is doing ok. Also, I saw your son's new mission president in the Church News this afternoon - Ned Hill - former Dean of the Marriott School of Management. You probably already knew that though. ;) I think he taught there when my husband was in the business school.
I love that Trammell rode out the storm by playing Angry Birds with a 4-year old - how cool is he?
I hope Parker gets that dream job of his - it sounds perfect for everyone! ;)
I'd be counting down if I were going to Romania in 22 Days...and whatever hours, minutes and seconds. ;)
How sweet of you to hold the baby so her parents can get some stuff done. Hope she's feeling better soon!
I won't be staying up or getting up to watch the wedding - I'm sure there will be plenty of post-coverage to check out without the lack of sleep. ;)
I'll be keeping your mom in my thoughts and prayers!
Thanks so much for being a fellow rebel and rockin' the random with me! :)
Easter, Angry Birds - RTT Rebel
I am so jealous. How awesome that you can do that for them.
Glad your Mom's doing well. Chemo can be tough.
To be honest I could really care less about the royal wedding. I've never understood why people get all crazy about the royals getting married.
