I don't go through pockets before throwing everything in the laundry.
I JUST DON'T. I know. I know. I suffer for it.
I can't count the number of Chapsticks, Burt's Bees, Blistex and Vaseline's that have gone through the wash. Luckily, most of them don't make it in the dryer.
There is always plenty of change that goes through the wash too. I never give it back. I'm going to get rich off of my kids' change!
Unfortunately, they don't leave juicy notes in there pockets. Don't be thinking it's because they are so smart or that they have learned their lesson. It's only because of the simple fact that no one communicates via origami notes in pink ink anymore.
This is about the tenth timeI have found THIS in the wash.
So the big dilemma? Should I just go ahead and throw the wallet in the dryer, lay it out gingerly to dry, or just keep it?

keep it until someone comes looking for it. you might need a ransom or something before returning it.....you could get realllly rich. :)
I vote that it's finders keepers...a wallet you can totally make bank off of. Kind of like how you bargain with they boys at christmas to buy their gifts ;) He can fo sho buy his wallet back. Right? Ha ha ha
You don't have to keep the wallet, but if there's any money in it, you should definitely be entitled to that...just for having to deal with laundry hassels like such!
Same thing happens in our house...and it always comes from the clothes of the boys!
Once again your my twin. LOL I NEVER check pockets... and wash chapsticks, money, and yes wallets. I usually put it on top of the dryer to dry and someone usually comes running to claim it.
I never check the pockets either. I have even ruined game boy games. I should say, my kids ruined them, they left it in their pockets. I will tell you that I have had the old Blistex, chapstick thing happen and it did make it through the dryer. Spray n Wash Dual Power will take that out of your clothes, even after it goes through the dryer! Keep the wallet, unless they have a driver's license. Then keep the money and give them back the wallet
