We leave in a week to pick up Trammell up from his mission in Cambodia.
Woohoo!
I cannot believe how quickly the two years have gone buy.
I cannot possibly describe all the emotions.
There's a lot of random going on here as we supposedly get ready to go!
But there's random EVERYWHERE.
Go on over to Keely's and check it out! She started it!!!!
* The other night, I heard a ruckus.
There were muffled grunts coming up the air vents from the basement.
It was 11:30 and I didn't want the kids to wake Brian up.
I went down to investigate and the boys were wrestling on Garrett's bed with Parker in a headlock.
"What is going on?"
Garrett: "He was getting to close to my gardenias. He was smelling too close to them."
What????
* Did you know that you can have someone babysit your bonsais while you are out of town? It's 35 cents a day per bonsai. My brother told the boys he would watch their's for 25. That's my brother!
*Thank heavens someone heard my cupcake pleas!
These showed up
They are all homemade and were entered into a cupcake contest. I haven't eaten any of them yet. Maybe, I'll have one for breakfast but maybe not because - well that's what I do........think about food, collect food, hoard food but rarely eat the collection. And I certainly don't recognize that I can't possibly eat three cupcakes for breakfast and share! Yeah - I have issues.
*I'm nesting.
Yesterday, while all my friends and neighbors were lounging at the pool, I was cleaning ALL of the outside light fixtures.
They are so bright and shiny that we were almost blinded last night while lighting our 5th of July fireworks.
What? Don't you guys light off fireworks EVERY night in the summer?
You obviously don't have teenage boys!
You obviously don't have teenage boys!
I don't know about you, but I think everyone should get out clean their light fixtures once every 14 years.
* Would it be bad to shoot the magpies fighting over my trash at 7:30 in the morning?
Or should I wait until the neighbors are up?
My trash can is so full, I can't shut the lid.
My trash can is so full, I can't shut the lid.
The magpies are soooo happy.
Remember how I said I am nesting?
Nesting at this house, doesn't mean bringing things IN to the house,
it means throwing stuff OUT!
I love throwing stuff out!
* The highlight of the Cambodia trip for the boys (besides picking up their brother of course) is eating one of these-
yeah - fried tarantula.
Anyone else in?
I'm taking a pass.
Well that's it - I obviously have a lot of cupcake eating, cleaning, and packing to do.
Have a great Tuesday!

You mean you are going where there are tarantulas? EW, EW, EW!
cupcakes look great those fried trantulas I will take a pass on. WOW 2 years that seems so long my son has been on mission trips for 2 to 3 weeks at a time and has announced he is thinking about taking a longer one
EWW EWW ICK ICK GROSS
But the cupcakes look fabulous! They do sort of look like something to save, not savor.
I can't get the fried trantulas out of my head!! I have so many questions about this subject, but they are a little gross, so I wont!!
Ok spiders are freaking me out, LOL.
Those cupcakes are making me hungry..
I love to throw stuff out as well...Makes room for more, LOL..
Trantulas - Bon Appetit! LOL
And I wasn't there - but heard and saw video of all the thing blown up by my boys in South Carolina. As we picked up Tyler and Spencer at the airport yesterday, we heard about the "Two shopping carts full of explosives" they bought. Yeah our money being put to good use. LOL
Blowing stuff up and beating each other up is what boys do. At least that's what my husband and his brothers say.
I'm excited to hear that they're taking their bonsai so seriously. I like the updated picture. Garret's looks wonderful! What about the other two?
Who needs a clean kitchen when you can have clean outdoor lights. Priorities People!!!
i totally wanted cupcakes but then you threw in the fried spiders and now i'm good... i probably wont eat again for a couple days actually {gulp}
My mom went on a cleaning frenzy right before my brothers came home from their missions, so I think maybe that explains you cleaning the outside light fixtures. You just want the house to be aglow with warmth (both inside and out) to welcome your son home!
Sorry, the spiders were beyond gross. Every time I think of traveling anywhere, things like this pop up and I realize that I'm very content here with my non-arachnid diet.
