It is a much anticipated trip as the rest of Garrett's friends have been in school for at least a week, if not 2 or 3.
He feels like he is the last man outta Dodge!
My mom asked him if he was "packed."
Packed is not quite the word I would use.
"Piled" would be more appropriate.
Everything is in piles - things to go to college, things to be packed, dirty clothes, clothes fresh from the laundry.
Piles of appliances.
Piles of neckties.
Piles of watches.
Piles of kitchenware.
Oh and all of the piles are mixed.
So today, I bring you-
13 Things Garrett HAS to Take to School
(not in an order of importance because they are ALL crucial)
1. Taylor Swift poster/s
2. Rice Cooker
3. Premium Grade Sushi Rice (no he has no plans to make Sushi - he just loves it)4. Fountain Pen
He keeps it hanging so it doesn't 1) leak and 2) dry out
5. Ping Paddle and Balls
He needed a new one for school. Hey, some people need new pens and pencils. Don't judge his school supplies!
6. Patchwork Polo
Now you know which brother won the tug-o-war over the famous patchwork polo.
7. The Popcorn Maker
8. Backpacks
Is that a "man purse?" Please don't wear that WITH the patchwork polo!
9. The Light Saber
Oh wait, are those practical things under the light saber? An iron? Sewing supplies and a first aid kit?
10. Bonsai Plants
11. Watches
12. His Pool Cue
13. A TV with WIFI, LED, Ethernet..........I don't know what that stuff is.........but you NEED it!
How can he NOT be successful!
I am sure Garrett will have a great time at college!

It never ceases to amaze me what kids these days are convinced they 'need'...god I sound old.
Also, love the new design! I really like you you update the design regularly and keep it fresh and seasonal...though I may be reading too much into it.
Wow. When I packed for college (which admittedly was many, many years ago), I remember thinking my mom was crazy for making me take a broom.
Somehow I love the idea of bonsai plants going to college.
YummY!
At lease he has his priorities in line!!
It's not a man purse, it's a satchel. Indiana Jones has one, you know, so it's cool. That's what the boys in my house tell me, anyway.
wow! that much? for college!!!
i dont recall anything of the sort from my college days

I still giggle everytime I see the Patchwork Polo. It's such a ridiculous shirt I can't believe they fought over it!
I love the stuff Garrett is taking to school with him...he might be the only one with a Bonsai!
