Random by Numbers

Where am I?
What day is it?
YES!  It's Tuesday!
Get on over to The UnMom's and link up.
Don't argue!

* 22 partying 24/4 (I wish it was 24/7, but all good things must come to an end.)
Part of my exhaustion stems from staying up until all hours and partying with my brothers.
The whole clan was here last week to say goodbye to my parents.  It was a lot like musical beds.  Sometimes people slept here.  Sometimes they didn't.  Sometimes we all ate here, sometimes we didn't.
We had -
high school graduation
a family barbeque/bonfire
a farewell open house for my parents
a farewell at church
a family picture

the rest of the time we just sat around and laughed.

* We're not saying "GOODBYE" to my parents - like putting them on an iceberg and sending them out to sea.
We're saying "goodbye."
They are leaving to serve a two year mission in Rome, Italy in two weeks.

* We almost said "GOODBYE" to my mom.
She came down with pneumonia on Friday and we it just about did her in.
Luckily my brother is a doctor.

I know, he looks more like a roadie for AC/DC.
But what can you do?
Anyway, she just about had a heart attack - and not because he looked so bad, but because she couldn't breathe and had overdone it.
He treated her and sent her to her family doctor who told her to go home and go to bed.
Ask me how that worked out?

* We had about 75 of my parents friends over for a little open house Saturday night.  The food was awesome (if I do say so myself.) Thanks to all the girls who slaved away to help put verything together! The company was even better!
After we shooed everyone out the door, we went to Village Inn.  It was the "after party."

* So now that we're done with the lacrosse banquet, the wedding, graduation, the mini family reunion, I can sit back and relax.........until Thursday.
Thursday, I am in charge of lunch for 275.
It's my LAST Teacher Appreciation meal.
I'm retiring from that duty.
So I just need to get through Thursday.
And THEN I can relax.

* It's June 1st.
It almost makes me cry!
(Trammell is on the far right with the yellow tie)
Six more weeks!
Six more weeks until we go to Cambodia and pick Trammell up.
I have NOT been counting down and didn't even realize how close it is getting until last night.
SIX WEEKS!

*17 Days!
Seventeen days until we drop Garrett off at college!
I keep thinking it's Monday and that I have the whole week stretched out in front of me.
I'm wrong.
It's Tuesday.
Thus - the whole RaNDoM THouGHT TueSDaY thing! Duh!
I'm on the SECOND day of the week.
I better skedaddle and get something accomplished!

Great post! So many exciting things going on!

You know how our family always somehow has a "creeper hand" in a lot of our pictures...haha...check out the picture of you and your brothers, I HAVE to show that one to my kids, I'm sure they will laugh so hard.

I am one of those people who do not like to actually say "good-bye". I would much rather say "see you later" or something like that. I feel that good-bye is so final.

Sure glad they are well enough to go on their mission.

Happy RTT,

It's like musical sons at your house, huh? Glad your getting some rest before the big return journey! Good luck getting ready for the next big departure, though. Stock up on those kleenex.

Wow! If I had that many things going on in such a short time, I'd be curled up in the fetal position in a nice padded room!

All seriousness aside, it sounds awesome! Glad to hear that your mom is doing okay.

PS: Can I hire you to do my parties? :)

Your family is so neat and we will miss your parents. I can't believe that T is so close to coming home. Crazy!

I've missed RTT the last few weeks.

You've been busy. Dr. Bro looks pretty hip, that is my kind of doctor. Much better than the old guy with more hair in his nose and ears than he has on his head.
